Lamprotornis corruscus

Another fruit eating starling generally resident around Watamu but in smaller flocks than the Violet-backed Starling.

Size 7 1/2 in. slim with a relatively long tail, dark greeny-black upper-parts, violet to black underparts but appearing all black in most lights, with a bright orange eye.

Spends the heat of the day in thicker bush, including areas such as Kilulu, whistling and chattering calls between birds sharing their whereabouts.
