Kisite Marine National Park

Kisite Marine National Park lies just south of Mpunguti Marine Nartional Park & Wasini Island and covers 11 square kilometres.

The only island in the park is Kisite Island, which lies 8 kilometres from the coastline - an important island as it is a breeding ground for the migratory Roseate and Sooty Terns. It's protected status within the part is vital, as numbers of breeding terns had reduced greatly due to being raided prior to the area being made a marine National Park.
