The Diani Samaki Classic Fishing Competition will be held on the 27th December 2015 at the Forty Thieves Beach Bar on Diani Beach from 06:30am. There will be a Boat Auction, Sweepstake and Captains briefing on the 26th December 2015 at Forty Thieves Beach Bar, following the Annual Christmas Camel Race.

Travelling with surfboards is not easy.  Travelling with SUPs is even harder. 

If the airline graciously lets you on the plane with your quiver, there’s usually a wallet-melting surcharge to pay (and even then they make you sign a disclaimer against damage).

We were children of great fortune – our father was shipped to East Africa on an expat assignment in the late 60’s and my two brothers and I were born in Nairobi. Whilst he missed out on Flower Power, Free Love and the music of Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, we grew up in a tropical paradise with year-round sunshine and a swimming pool in the garden. I learnt to swim by the age of 3 and started windsurfing at the age of 6. We’d spend long-weekends in tented-camps pitched on the shores of the Rift Valley; when we weren’t windsurfing or sailing we would be competing with the local hippos and crocs for shoals of spiny tilapia and whiskered cat-fish.

The Diani Beach 5-a-side Touch Rugby tournament is just around the corner.

Registration ends on the 30th May 2012, a week before the tournament begins on the 7th July 2012.

The 2011 Diani Beach 5-a-side Tough Rugby Tournament will be held from 1st to 3rd July.

Team entries close on 30th May 2011 - entry forms can be downloaded from their website.

There are various divisions catering to ladies, gents, mixed teams, and vets (over 40's).

The annual event is held at Forty Thieves Beach Bar - and has been a succesful and fun event since it began in 2009.
