Likoni

Likoni is a town on the mainland south of Mombasa Island, best known as the destination for the ferry service linking the island with the souoth coast.

Being a transport 'terminal' it is usualyl a bustling, hot, and sometimes chaotic town filled with travellers, vehicles, bicylces, push-carts, hawkers, and salesmen. The main road through likoni is lined with small shops, or 'duka's' selling a wide variety of wares to the travellers maing their way to or from the island, and often waiting for the ferry to arrive.
