Manda

Manda Island lies in close proximity to lamu Island, and has the archipelago's only airport, as well as a smaller airstrip on the other side of the island. The main airstrip is where the main commercial airliners land. Manda has two historic towns - Takwa and Manda, both of which were abandoned some time in the 1800's. Manda Island has some stunning deserted sandy beaches, and tranquil shores.
