WSFC Fishing Competition - Day 2

Seahorse managed to remain ahead of the fleet overnight in Watamu, having entered day 2 with the most points from 3 Striped Marlin on Day 1. Skipper Peter Ready and the fishermen and crew on board Seahorse caught another Marlin on the final day, and ended with a total points tally of 916.71 to win 1st Overall.

Insteada was hot on their heels with a successful second day, but fell just short at 916.43 points, a very slim margin which came down to the weigh in of the Dorado caught in addition to the high scoring billfish.

Third place overall went to the small boat Bingo with 897.37, who also won 1st place in the small boats category.

Pintail, also a small boat at 23ft, won 4th place with 698.26 points.

Spoit came 5th with 473.68, having not gained any points on Day 1, they had a very successful second day's fishing.

captain-andys-logoThe prize giving was well attended by all of the teams, family and friends, and wide array of prizes were handed out by the Watamu Sea Fishing Club and generous sponsors Captain Andy's Fishng Supply, including Raymarine electronic equipment, rods, reels, and of course the 1st prize 25hp Yamaha outboard engine.

Congratulations to Watamu Sea Fishing Club, all of the competitors, and Captain Andy's for an excellent event.
