Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have recovered clothes believed to have been worn by the main suspect during the murder of Finance Director Eric Maigo.

According to a report by DCI, the suspect who has been identified as Ann Adhiambo is believed to be a teenage girl possibly between 15 and 17 years old.

The detectives found the clothes worn by the main suspect inside a semi-permanent ramshackle in Bombolulu village in Kibra.

“The clothes a red checkered shirt and a grey pair of animal-print pants were found in a semi-permanent wooden shack in Bombolulu village, deep inside the sprawling Kibira settlement,” read part of the DCI statement.

Detectives further noted that the lady nicknamed Nut sat for her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) at Dagorretti Approved School between 2021 and 2022.

DCI has appealed to the public to help trace the girl.

“Detectives are appealing to anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the murder suspect to report to the nearest police station,” read the statement.

The latest discoveries come barely a day after the DCI released CCTV footage showing the lady leaving the scene.

The investigators also noted they had collected blood samples from the house. They said the samples would be used to help trace the girl.

“Two blood-stained knives believed to have been the murder weapons were recovered from the scene of crime,” DCI noted.

“As detectives burn the midnight oil to arrest the female suspect, members of the public are requested to volunteer any information that may lead to his immediate arrest,” DCI requested.

The body of the man was found on Friday, September 15, with 25 stab wounds.
