The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced the auction of assorted items, including 113 vehicles, rendered to have overstayed at the Port of Mombasa.
In a statement, the authority announced that the exercise will kick off at the Kilindini Harbour, Mombasa County on October 4, 2023.
A total of 113 cars, encompassing diverse Toyota models such as Prados, Land Cruiser, Corolla, Hiace, Double Cabin, Condor station wagon, and Hilux, have been made available for sale.
The agency is also intending to sell a Peugeot 504.

Other models include a Mercedes Benz, Nissan March, Nissan Note, Nissan X-Trail, Subaru Forester and Volkswagen Tiguan.
The agency is also looking to offload package tyres, cooking oil jerry cans, beddings, drum bitumen, carpets, brake pads accessories and other household items.
Sources privy to the information revealed to Kenyans.co.ke that the pricing is usually confidential and is unveiled on the auction date.
The source, however, confirmed that the sale will be subject to reasonable prices.
How to Bid
Interested bidders will get a chance to view the vehicles on October 2, 2023, and October 3, 2023, during office hours.
The listed items are currently being held at the Customs Warehouses.
Interested bidders have been directed to submit their documents on or before October 4, 2023.
The applications will be publicly opened in the presence of all bidders who attend the auction. The highest bidder will walk away with their item of choice.
